Yesterday I discussed in separate posts that Congress has designated this week as National Teen Driver Safety Week. I also commented that teen auto accidents are the leading killer of teens in Oklahoma and that a study by an insurance company says that October averaged the most teen car wrecks in Oklahoma.

True to form comes news today that a Kingston Oklahoma teen has been killed in an automobile accident. First 12 News is reporting that

Kingston High School student is dead and another is injured after an accident in Marshall County at the intersection of Muncrief and Highway 70-B early Tuesday morning.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers say two Kingston teens driving a Mitsubishi pickup north on Muncrief were broadsided by another pickup truck headed east on 70-B. OHP says the teens failed to yield at a stop sign.

As always are thoughts and prayers go out to the injured and deceased family. Parents please take the time to focus on driving safety with your teens this month.
