The Blog Pack with C. Brooks Schuelke, Mike Bryant, Noble McIntyre, Jeremy Thurman, and Steve Lombardi began this week centered around assisting individuals in collisions in and around Interstate 35. As most Oklahomans know, Interestate 35 splits our state and is a heavily traveled road by all motorists. It is a corridor for semis and recreational motorists alike.

Steve Lombardi led things off Monday with an informative post about Finding a Personal Injury Lawyer for an I-35 Car Accident. Mike Bryant followed with a discussion of about why you should hire a lawyer after an I-35 Accident. C. Brooks Schuelke then followed with a detailed discussion on How you Find an lawyer after an I-35 accident.

In keeping with the discussion, I wanted to expound on some real life reasons why you should hire a lawyer.

Just the other day I had a potential client enter into my office that had been in an accident on I-35 which left him with ligament damage that has required several surgeries. The accident happened almost exactly two years ago. The philanthropic insurance company (I’m being facetious) kept telling the client they would pay his medical bills when a final determination of his needs was reached. What they failed to tell him was that by dragging him along they would have to pay nothing on the two year anniversary of his wreck by virtue of a rule of law called the statute of limitations. Luckily, this client found our firm and we were able to protect his interests.

The above example is the rule, not the exception. It is difficult to even count the clients who come to my office with the mistaken belief that the insurance company will take care of them. I hear them say the adjuster promised to pay any medical bills. This is a complete misnomer, the insurance adjuster does not care about giving you money and the whole premise of their job is to pay you as little as possible. These adjusters handle thousands of claims a year and are trained to use deceptive tactics to compensate you. You must resist the temptation to go at it alone. Having an attorney will protect your rights and will enable you to force the insurance company to pay a fair settlement amount.

Studies show that the victim who retains an attorney will typically 'net' more than if he had handled the case by them. Its quite simple, the only way to level the playing field with big insurance to have someone knowledgeable and experiencing fighting for you.

Now for our experience. The attorneys at McIntyre Law, P.C. take pride representing injured individuals. You won’t see us jumping out of helicopters or any of the proverbial lawyer commercials stating we will get you paid while waiving a big check in the air. We make no such promises. What we do promise is that we will aggressively and ethically represent you, ensure that you have open and readily available communication with our attorneys and provide you with the advice that we believe is in your best interests. We believe by doing the above our results will speak for themselves.

Your story is so true, had a roll over case come in last week, multiple fractures and the person was in because the minimal offer "just didn't seem right". I expect the company will be paying the limits in not to long. Good experienced attorneys can and do make a difference.
